Project Background
This house is a tropical compact house of a small family in Pontianak.
The main concept is a humble approach toward the tropical climate by allowing airflow into the building through the louvered openings.
The challenge is to create compact spaces in a small site.
The central space of the kitchen, dining room, and living room.
We try to minimize energy consumption by creating big openings to allow natural sunlight and airflow to enter the building.
Using the solid wood and small window as the main entrance way.
For the safety reason, we try not to create big windows on the front side.
Special request: A hidden close inside the bedroom
The connectivity between the main bedroom and the hidden closet
Exterior Renderings
The front facade with the bright, whine, and minimalist ambience
