Project Background
The site is located on an island. It is home to many devout Christians who have built many large and small houses of worship on the island. The island is often affected by typhoons, and people preferred to build houses with stable shapes made of sturdy stones.
The design concept of this cathedral comes from the description of heaven in the Book of Revelation, the throne of God, the stairway to heaven, the colourful light, the dove symbolising peace...

Master Plan Rendering
The original gathering place for missionary work was just a simple shed, and as the number of believers on the island grew, it was no longer big enough to hold so many people in prayer. So the local church decided to raise money to build the largest church on the island, which could hold 5,000 people in prayer at the same time. The cathedral is equipped with a number of medium-sized and small chapels, teaching spaces, children's spaces, and a dining hall.
And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.
