Project Background
The project is located in the traditional village of Huangshan Shop in Fangshan District, Beijing. The designer is responsible for the overall architectural design and interior decoration design. This case is the interior part.
The forms, materials, scales and colors conveyed by the traditional residential courtyards are all explicit translations of the lifestyle and spiritual features of the residents who have lived here for hundreds of years. The pitched roof at the entrance of the family scale, the spiritual "four waters return to the hall", the spatial sequence on the central axis, and the recycling of local materials are all reinterpreted in the contemporary homestay.
Floor Plan
Fourteen trees grow naturally on the low terrain, telling the story of the site's past and present. The original trees are not only simply preserved, but are truly manifested in nature by the appearance of buildings; The living units are regular and flexible, like the "stone blocks" freely scattered among the trees, which have an intimate dialogue with nature and constitute the external expression of the logic of the interior space;
