Floor Plan
Floor Plan with Furniture Layout
For a one-bedroom unit, I made the most out of the space using apartment sized furniture pieces and properly zoned areas.
Interior Renderings
Mud-Room/Hallway from Main Entrance:
In the existing plan, there was a long hallway provided by the developers. Instead of leaving it as it is, we made it into a mud area; this is where you mostly change your shoes prior to leaving the apartment or entering the common area.
The Living Area has a small sofa, coffee table and movable laptop/drinking table. Shelves were also used to display the client's travel memento from all around the world.
A utilitarian closet is used without compromising the overall aesthetic of the interior.
The kitchen is one of the unit's best asset, as the client wants the sink and stove area concealed whenever it's not used.
Client is a huge fan of cooking and experimenting different recipes, and likes having a Kitchen Island in the unit, in this case I proposed an island cart that is movable.
Properly placed overhead cabinet shelves to store her kitchenware, microwave, etc. A small sink and stove area to make the kitchenette more funtional, lastly a white-flat subway tile kitchen backsplash for easy cleaning.
A Full-Double sized bed perfectly fits this small bedroom with closet and storage spaces to boot. Most of the furniture pieces here are from Ikea, to accommodate the client's limited budget, yet having a fully furnished home.
In spite of the small space, we were also able to add a working/office desk that also serves as her vanity table whenever the client wants to do make up.
A full-lenght mirror was a requirement of the client since she is a fashionista.
