Project Background
Thios project is adjoinig the Kelani River in Sri lanka and done in a sloping site. Done for cooperate client for whom I have done previously done their head office building, brianch offcies and warehouse building. This is that company's first venture into the hotel industry. All sturctural, QS, Tendering and also govet. approveal work was handled by our office. For M and E specialists were consulted by our office. But they were handled and payments made via us. All geological survyes done.
Project Concept
Hotel was concieved to bring out the quality of the river and experience changing moods of water and indegenous flora.
Project Highlights
Serenity of the river and surrounding mountains is captured via different architectural elments utilized within the hotel.
Spatial Composition
Sptial quality is that of many modes of the river and water , spaces are thus manipulated to create this.
Materials & Processing Technology
Materials are to go with local culture... main stucture is of contrete and brick. Lot of artifical timber is used exteranlly.

Interior to is in keeping to the theme of River and water, In the main lobby , priority is given toi the mountain vista outside. Other things are done in a quite manner( minimalistic) , so as not to distract from the view and existing serenity outside.
