Originally intended as a public recreational area, the grounds have fallen into disrepair, becoming underutilized and disconnected from the daily lives of the local residents. The community, particularly marginalized groups, lacks access to spaces that foster social interaction, cultural expression, and recreational activities. The foundation of this project lies in its community-centered approach. From the outset, local residents were actively involved in the design process. Through participatory workshops and surveys, the project team gathered insights into the needs, desires, and aspirations of the community. This engagement ensured that the final design was a true reflection of the community’s identity, fostering a deep sense of ownership and pride among residents.

At the core of the floor plan is the open theater, strategically placed to serve as the primary gathering space for the grounds. The theater features a semi-circular or circular seating arrangement that creates an inclusive and immersive experience for visitors. The seating is tiered, following the natural contours of the land to provide clear sightlines to the stage from every angle. This central placement ensures that the theater acts as a focal point
