Project Background
A Filipino couple commissioned ESP Design Associates to do Landscape design in a raw vacant yard fronting their residential villa. The design objective is to house at least 20 visitors in indoor spaces and 50 to 60 person capacity for outdoor leisure and recreation.
Project Concept
The project is located in the island of Cuyo, Palawan, a isolated island with a population of 500 locals of the community.
Characteristics of the site include Square in shape with 2,500 sq.m area bounded by a National road and Calvario st. The lot slope if moderately flat with several indigenous trees present on site.
Project Highlights
The Design is highlighted by a Pergola made of natural wood trellis present on the main entry. A curved concrete blocks adds to the highlights of the symetrical wrought iron metal grilles to match the material of the main gate.

Spatial Composition
A case opening wooden portal adds to the invite present in the main gate. This wooden portals is accentuated by creeping hanging plants.
A Linear pathwalk leading to a rotunda is bounded with series of palm trees on both sides with shrubs separating the paved and unpaved areas.
Materials & Processing Technology
A curved concrete blocks adds to the highlights of the symetrical wrought iron metal grilles to match the material of the main gate.
