Project Background
My clients needed a pastoral-style vacation home project that had a background that included the following elements:
A focus on creating a peaceful and serene environment that promotes relaxation and rejuvenation
Use of natural materials and traditional construction techniques to create a sense of connection to the surrounding landscape.
Incorporation of elements such as large terraces, large windows and outdoor spaces to enhance the connection with nature.
Exterior Renderings
The project is in the rural community of Juan de Acosta in the north of the Colombian Atlantic department.
Incorporation of elements such as wide verandas, large windows, and outdoor spaces to enhance the connection with nature.
Utilization of sustainable and eco-friendly practices, such as solar power and rainwater harvesting, to minimize the farm's environmental impact.
A farm-to-table approach, with the farm producing most of the food consumed by guests.
Incorporation of activities such as hiking, yoga, and meditation to encourage guests to reconnect with nature and themselves.
A design that respects the local vernacular architecture and landscape.
A layout that allows guests to enjoy the views and the sounds of nature.
A focus on providing a unique and memorable experience for guests, with an emphasis on privacy, comfort and luxury.
