This is a set of top-floor houses in downtown Shanghai, but the whole house is high and the apartment type is irregular, the highest point is more than four meters, the lowest point is more than one meter, a girder spans the east-west direction, and the center is pressed on the most advantageous part of the center floor height of the house. Interior Renderings
Leaving aside the constraints of style definition, minimalist milky white and alternating shades of wood grain brown create a faint sense of senna. Lying on the sofa at night, you can really experience Bai Juyi's depiction of "the night is light to the moon, and the dark fragrance is light with the wind".
After the renovation, we adopted the form of Chinese and Western kitchens, the original kitchen was opened, and the Western kitchen and restaurant were placed here. The superior landscape corner makes it not only a daily dining area, but also a habitual reading and office area for the owner. The chinese kitchen is set up in the high space on the right side of the entrance door, and underneath is a huge storage space to make full use of the height of the space.
The French bookcases of the 1930s, the record player cabinets of the same period, the round coffee table of Artdeco, and the modern-style sideboard (now used as a bookcase) all come from the old furniture that the owner and wife have slowly picked up from love to the present, which is a witness to time, and at the same time, with a sense of age and ritual, the story of time is stirred up.
Because the bathroom has a ceiling space of more than 3 meters, we designed the ceiling as a curved dome, and the 2.5-meter-high wall was used for exhaust. The washing area is combined with natural materials such as terrazzo countertops and travertine mosaics. The contrast between cold and warm colors gives this small space a rich visual experience
