Project Background
The project is located in the scenic area of Huangshandian Village, Fangshan District, Beijing; with the backdrop of the mountain and the river, several B&Bs form a B&B colony, which together compose a poetic habitat under the local natural and humanistic atmosphere. The project is located in Huangshandian Village, Fangshan District, Beijing.
The traditional residential courtyard conveys the form, material, scale and color of the space, which is an explicit translation of the lifestyle and spirituality of the inhabitants who have lived here for hundreds of years.
Exterior Renderings
Fourteen trees grow naturally on the low terrain where the project is located, and they seem to tell the past and present of the site. The original trees are not simply preserved, but are truly revealed in nature by the presence of the building; the living units are regular yet dynamic, like "stone blocks" scattered freely among the trees, intimately dialoguing with nature and constituting an external expression of the interior spatial logic.
The "four waters return to the field" in the inner courtyard shows the tradition The courtyard forms the spirit and at the same time, it also connects the nearby trees, the distant mountains and the sky, Incorporated into the yard, extended to infinity;
