This commercial unit in a mall was transformed into a lush oasis for a London-based client with a passion for greenery, nature, and fresh air. Inspired by the beauty of natural landscapes, we created a serene and invigorating environment where clients can indulge in rejuvenating beauty treatments surrounded by verdant foliage and soothing earth tones. The space harmoniously combines functionality and aesthetics, providing a tranquil retreat for both clients and staff.
Project Concept
The concept for this beauty salon was to create a visually immersive experience of greenery and plants, as per the client's vision of stepping into a garden.
Project Highlights
In this small space, we strategically positioned plants to maximize their impact. One unique feature was the use of inverted plants suspended between three side mirrors in the hairdressing area. When standing in the center, clients could enjoy the mesmerizing reflection of a suspended garden that seemed to extend infinitely, creating a captivating and immersive experience. This innovative approach added an element of enchantment and brought the beauty of nature into every corner of the salon.
Spatial Composition
The spatial composition of the salon is thoughtfully designed to create separate yet harmonious areas for different tasks. The layout ensures that spaces like the hair dyeing area and nail polishing stations are strategically placed to take advantage of proper ventilation. Additionally, the manager's room is positioned in a way that provides her with a private space while allowing for easy monitoring of both staff and customers. This careful arrangement promotes efficiency and functionality.
Materials & Processing Technology
Glass, metal, Corian, and mirrors are chosen for their easy cleaning, sleek aesthetics, and practicality. These materials create a hygienic environment, with transparency from glass, elegance from metal, durability from Corian, and functionality from mirrors. The result is a clean, sophisticated space that meets the salon's high standards.
Floor Plan
The floor plan showcases the effective use of multifunctional bespoke furniture to divide each space. In the entrance area, custom-made boxes serve as both seating and closets, providing functionality and organization. This smart design solution optimizes space while maintaining a stylish aesthetic throughout the salon.

In the hairdresser's area, special attention was given to the placement of electrical outlets. The design incorporated discreetly positioned outlets on the tables, ensuring a visually clean and organized space. This thoughtful consideration allowed for easy access to power sources for styling tools without compromising the overall aesthetic of the area. The result is a seamless integration of functionality and design, providing a visually neat and efficient workspace for hairdressers.
