Project Background
A conceptual Co-Working and Office Space with Japanese and Scandinavian influences, in short "Japandi". The intent of the client and designer was to make the interior design minimalist and yet have different functions for a small given space; such as working station, reading, conference and lounge area. Light wood furniture pieces paired with concrete flooring were used together with an array of plants that gives the interior a pleaseant and organic approach.
Floor Plan
Co - Working Office Floor Plan and Furniture Layout: Properly planned to have a dedicated space for working, lounging, reading and conference area.
Interior Renderings
Exterior Facade View A: Concrete and Glass Blocks were incorporated building's facade offering a minimalist aesthetic, no nonsense design fitting for the interior.
Exterior Facade View B: A large and expansive window was requested by the client to add to the facade breaking the monotonous and heavy look of the concrete.
A Reading and Working area provided for this co-working space. Target market are young adults and professionals looking for a place to connect, interact and build professional relationships.
One of the distinct feature of this office space is the Wooden Bookshelves with tatami weaved backing.
Meetings and conferences are held on this area holding a capacity of 8-10 people. Modern and minimalist painting adorns the walls with different plants for that organic approach.
Drop Pendant lights to highlight and illuminate the conference table, the finish used is concrete pairing so well with the interior flooring and exterior facade.
Glass Blocks nowadays are considered old-school, but this interior space we incorporated the glass block with the modern look of the space that adds a decorative flair to the common window for sun light to pass through.
My favorite area in this conceptual project, the Lounge. I imagine myself just lounging about and eating snacks during my break or after a long day at work. This area has a homey feel, that surely will make you relax amidst the busy schedule of office work.
