Project Background
The brief of this project is to develop an existing unused foyer to be more practical and habbitable. It was later developed as a reception and lounge area for internal and external office use. The ambience was to be set as cozy and warm as possible with a modern touch as it was the ice breaking room of the stiff formal daily life of custom officeer
This is the aftermath of the design. With a simple geometric and line works, this room become more comfortable and more atractive.
Floor Plan
The existing condition of this room was there are no definite function. So it was used as a gathering hall, table tennis hall, tea time area and also storage for the officer and the guest of this office. The very idea of the design is to make a separataion between the active spaces and the storage part. The client specifically request this room to be adjusted as a space to pause for the officer, and a space to welcome the guest.
Interior Renderings
The most important thing about an office lounge is identity. With combination of warm welcoming lighting, fancy modern wall design, and a bold logo in front creates bold statement for the guest that this office have been in operation for long time and realy know how to handle their things.
Wall is not only an object of decoration, it can also reflect a meaning and character of its inhabitant. This side of the wall is meant to be listed with all of the previous leader and its achievement as an honor for them. But apart from this, the design is allowing anyone who pass and stay for a tea in this room to learn more about what it mean to be a Custom Agency
This side of the wall was meant to be highlighted with some artwork that represent the very character of Custom Agency.
The room can be seen as a cozy ice breaking space by this side
And also the room can be seen as a formal self identifying space by this side
Small pantry was added so anyone can serves their own meal/drinks while chilling out or waiting
