Project Background
This project was based on the idea of recreating the interior aesthetic so that the restaurant giving a better identity from its interior design. As in before the restaurant itself doesn't really impress any of its identity in which a traditional Sundanese. Giving the theme of "Sunda Parahyangan"
Project Highlights
One of the highlight was the implemented 'Lesehan" seating. Which are a traditional sundanese way of eating that don't require any type of chair, so they eat at the floor, just like other traditional Asian country. But here I design a built in seatings that are can be used as conventional chair, but also "Lesehan" style so that people who wanted to try to eat like a traditional sundanese, can also be comfortable. Since they can also sit like the usual.
Materials & Processing Technology
The main material I used are wood, as wood was the main material used in traditional sundanese architecture. Also emphasing the brass / 'Kuningan' in which are signature from the 'Sunda Parahyangan' culture, creating a list in the floor giving it a more luxury yet have a meaning behind it. As it was commonly used and produce in traditional sunda. Also mentioning the rattan wicker that never absent in traditional indonesian architecture.
