Project Background
The central plot of Yueqing Bay is located in the core area of the Window of the East China Sea in the Shenglitang North Area of Yueqing City, which is a landmark building in the area, and together with the Window of the East China Sea project, it constitutes the core characteristic building complex of the Yueqing New Area.
Master Plan Rendering
The government attaches great importance to the presentation of Yueqing's unique culture and the image of the project from different perspectives. We proposed the design concept of "Cloud Peaks and Stacked Green", hoping to integrate the unique mountain-shaped characteristics of Yandang Mountain into the design of the new city, and at the same time reinterpret the city's various cultural landmarks in a modern architectural way, giving unique cultural attributes to the commercial space.
Master Plan
The planned construction land area is 21,826.58 square meters. Three main functions are implanted in the two towers - 35,000 square meters of office, 25,000 square meters of hotel, and 35,000 square meters of apartments. The office and hotel are located in Tower A, a 150-meter super high-rise, and the apartments are located in Tower B, which is 100 meters high.
Exterior Renderings
Through an in-depth study of the massing, we shaped the form of the podium and tower. On this basis, the image of Yandang Mountain is transformed into the language of modern architecture, and the towers on both sides flow down from the slightly curved curtain wall through continuous ecological green belts and cascading terrace spaces, and then connect together, like the flow of mountains, and finally form a symbolic, ecological and cultural architectural image facing the city and the East Sea.
Looking at the city from all angles, one can spot its presence. The higher towers face the direction of the old town, contrasting with the east and west towers of the old town, while the cascading green terraces face the East China Sea, welcoming guests from afar with a unique attitude. The design of the mullion of the main curtain wall is as if it is the reproduction of the layers of mountains .
The hotel is located on the upper part of the tower, above the office area, and the mountains and sea unfold at the foot of it . Public areas such as dining and recreation are placed at the top of the tower to make full use of the excellent landscape resources . At the same time, we wanted the tower to have a "sense of space", so we added a protruding block in the southwest corner of the lobby level, whose soft curved form resembles clouds .
Pick out part of the ground and cover it with glass, which makes people feel exciting. The upper Chinese restaurant space is retracted, forming a shared space facing each other with the lower space.there is The upper floor of the restaurant is an infinity pool, which extends from the indoor to the outdoor, projecting the scenery of Yandang Mountain in the water waves.
The crown of the tower form a romantic sky garden, and the use of the roof space provides the hotel another attractive place.
The design of the facade of the podium is inspired by the texture of the thousand-year-old volcanic rock of Yandang Mountain, as if the imprint of time has left on it.
In the central courtyard, the "Valley Waterfall" space is created, using a modern fantasy water curtain combined with LED and plaza to provide a venue for temporary roadshows, creating a scene with a very commercial atmosphere.
The tower-shaped structure of the central courtyard square echoing the west tower in the old city, and its surface is smooth and bright, which is particularly eye-catching.
The commercial space is integrated with greenery to create a "mountaineering" tour route that climbs up the stairs. The starry sky, moonlight, and landscape trails complement each other.
