Dear BuildMost members,
We write this to you to give you a heads-up. There were fraudulent activities carried out by individuals in the name of BuildMost:
A designer was scammed by someone proclaiming to be BuildMost official staff offering design opportunities. After sending the designer some project information, the scammer requested "a transaction of $20, which was needed as the wallet’s minimal balance."
Only after the transaction did the designer realize that this is a scam.
The phone, email, and certificate belonging to this scammer on BuildMost will be permanently suspended and will never be able to be used to register on BuildMost again. BuildMost takes the cyber and financial safety of our users on BuildMost very seriously.
Please be extra careful to verify the personnel's identity, whether they are buyers, designers, product suppliers, or BuildMost’s official staff before making any transaction:
①These scams could mix and match the “BuildMost” logo, official website, and emails that look like legitimate accounts. By pretending to be BuildMost official staff member, the scammers may try to win over your trust and make you lower your guard.
②Scammers may offer “remote job opportunities” of suspicious generous amounts of payment.
③Scammers may request you to send advance payment as balance, as per “some e-wallet’s requirements”. Scammers claim they will send the balance right back after receiving the transfer.
We recommend you use the IM to communicate with buyers, design service providers, and product suppliers on BuildMost, and report any suspicious behaviors at once.
