The Unbound Collection will soon have a striking presence in the Finnish capital.
Resulting from a franchise agreement between Hyatt Hotels Corporation and Primehotels, Grand Hansa Hotel in Helsinki will mark The Unbound Collection brand’s entry to the Nordics. On opening in the second quarter of 2023, the scheme will host guests in a space incorporating references to Finnish folklore and mythology, and showcasing a heritage façade that represents the city’s past.
True to the philosophy underpinning The Unbound Collection, this hotel promises to provide independently minded guests with one-of-a-kind experiences. Before launching, it’ll benefit from a significant renovation to create 224 upscale rooms and a newly built entrance.
The architectural design of the hotel, which is owned by Ylva, will be undertaken by Arkkitehdit Soini & Horto.
The guestrooms will be joined by an array of dining and drinking venues on the ground floor, plus extensive conference and meeting facilities. Adding to its appeal for both corporate and leisure travellers, the hotel is strategically located opposite Helsinki Central railway station and just a 30-minute train or taxi ride from Helsinki Airport.
Those visiting on business may be interested to know, moreover, that it’s close to several major employers, as well as the University of Helsinki’s central campus. And for leisure travellers, it’s within a five-minute walk of high-profile shopping outlets and tourism attractions such as Helsinki Market Square and the Finnish National Theatre.
