Growing up in a neighborhood with a lot of identical, boring houses, I wasn't exposed to architectural marvels; as a result, whenever my parents took me to cities like London, I would gaze up at the towering skyscrapers, antique themed buildings, and modern and ancient landmarks. I was taken aback. Of course, these were just gorgeous houses and tall, gleaming structures to me back then. I've only recently acquired an interest in architecture.
We used to go on Art travels to help with our art projects at Peter Symonds, and it was the Art Trip to London this year that made me realize how much I want to study architecture. To get ideas, we went to the Royal Academy of Arts.
