Good Corrosion Resistance:
Chromium is the essential element that enables the 304 seamless pipes to possess corrosion resistance. When the chromium content in the steel reaches about 12%, chromium reacts with the oxygen in the corrosive medium to form a very thin oxide film (a passive film) on the surface of the steel, which can prevent the matrix of the steel from further corrosion. Therefore, the 304 seamless pipes have good corrosion resistance in weakly corrosive medium environments such as air, water, steam, as well as in chemically corrosive media like acids, alkalis, and salts. They are suitable for industries with high requirements for corrosion resistance, such as the chemical, petroleum, food, and pharmaceutical industries.
Excellent Mechanical Properties:
High Strength: The 304 seamless pipes have relatively high tensile strength and yield strength, enabling them to bear large loads and pressures. They are suitable for manufacturing mechanical structural components and piping systems that require high strength.
