Environmental grades are typically divided into the following levels:
1. E0 level: Extremely low formaldehyde emissions, almost negligible.
2. E1 level: Formaldehyde emissions meet international environmental standards and are suitable for indoor use.
3. E2 level: Higher formaldehyde emissions, usually requiring surface treatment before use indoors.
4. ENF level: No formaldehyde added, with formaldehyde emissions ≤0.025mg/m³. This is currently the strictest formaldehyde standard, imposing very stringent requirements on panel production and processing enterprises. This standard applies to the classification of formaldehyde emissions from various types of indoor used panels and their products, such as fiberboard, particleboard, plywood, blockboard, decorative reconstituted wood, veneer laminated wood, glued laminated timber, decorative veneered wood-based panels, wooden flooring, wooden wall panels, wooden doors, etc.
5. F4-star standard: This is the highest level in Japan's standard system for formaldehyde emissions, with an average formaldehyde emission limit of no more than 0.3mg/L. The F4-star standard not only has requirements for formaldehyde but also conducts environmental certification for the entire factory production system, including raw materials, production processes, and finished products.
